 Peak HiFi are authorised SME Dealers and are regularly asked to repair or refurbish SME 3009 and 3012 tonearms. Often the small finger lift is missing and unfortunately this is one of the few parts SME no longer manufacture or supply so we have had to resort to purchasing aftermarket manufactured finger lifts. We have tried several suppliers and quite frankly been very disappointed with the poor quality available. Problems include rough cut edges, incorrect dimensions, soft stainless steel that bends easily, the wrong finish i.e. brushed stainless or painted.

So we finally decided to commission a small bespoke engineering company specialising in high quality small components to produce a finger lift of a quality equal to the original SME finger lift using the correct gauge and the correct spring steel (stainless) and finished to a very high cosmetic standard.
