Made to the correct dimensions this wool felt oil pad is for the Garrard 301 or Garrard 401oil bearing it is not required by the 301 grease bearing version.

The oil pad fits around the top of the main bearing. The pad should be impregnated with oil and this then maintains oil lubrication by gradual gravity feed to the upper bush and spindle thus ensuring a long bearing life.
